It’s almost like the Wyatt Family is cursed. With Luke Harper just being cleared to return to the ring, Erick Rowan is replacing him on the injured list. According to a new report from prowrestling.net, Rowan has undergone surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff, which would put him out of action anywhere from four to six months.

Erick Rowan sheep

Rowan has had an up and down career in WWE as his very intimidating presence hasn’t exactly caught on with success. He’s spent most of his run in WWE as a bodyguard for Bray Wyatt, normally being the designated loser in six man tags. Rowan’s lone solo run didn’t go anywhere as he was easily defeated by Big Show at Tables, Ladders and Chairs 2014. Lately he’s been back under Wyatt’s wing and getting beaten up by Randy Orton.

Being put on the shelf isn’t likely to change much for Rowan as it’s not like he’s been doing much of anything in recent months. If nothing else it might be a good thing for Wyatt, who can now be on his own, at least until Harper comes back. Any injury is a bad break though and hopefully Rowan heals up sooner than later.
