Please don’t be bad. You never know when you will see an injury in the wrestling world. That is a scary situation but there is always a chance of seeing something like that happen every single time someone gets in the ring. Some of them are much worse than others, but timing can also be a horrible situation. Sometimes someone gets hurt at a big time and that is the case with this week.
The main event of Saturday’s NXT Takeover: XXX was a match for the NXT Championship with Keith Lee defending against Karrion Kross. This came after a very quick rise for Kross, who has only been in NXT for a few months now and was able to get a title shot through pure dominance. Kross wound up winning the title, but there was a problem with the match which may not have been apparent.
During a conference call after Takeover: XXX, Triple H revealed that Kross suffered a separated shoulder during the match. There is no word on when the injury took place, though Triple H said that it was at some point during the middle. It is not clear at this point how much time that Kross will miss, or if he will miss any whatsoever. Kross is scheduled for an MRI on Monday.
It was a big showdown. Check out what took place:
Opinion: There is very little that can be said here other than a heavy sigh, which is never a good sign. Right now the only thing that can be done is waiting around to see what the MRI shows, as Kross can stay out of the ring for weeks if he needs to, but at some point he is going to have to defend the title. That could be a few weeks, but what if he is out for several months? Time will tell, and that’s a scary thought.
