Hand them over. Titles are one of the most important parts of any wrestling show as they often show the fans the top stars in a promotion. That is the kind of thing that can lead to all kinds of stories and that has been the case for a long time now. Just doing anything with a title is going to get some attention and that was the case again this week as some titles changed hands.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky of Damage Ctrl defeated Aliyah and Raquel Rodriguez to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. This marks the first reign for both women and their first title on the main roster. Rodriguez and Aliyah won the titles two weeks ago by defeating Kai and Sky, though Sky was not legal when she was pinned, warranting the rematch.
Opinion: This was kind of an option title change as Kai and Sky have been treated as the far bigger deal while Aliyah and Rodriguez seemed to win the titles on a near fluke. It makes sense to switch the titles here and that is one of the best things that could have happened to them. Now just find some other teams for them to face and we should be fine with everything.
