More Names Added To 2021 Royal Rumble Matches

The numbers keep growing. We are wrapping up the year and while a lot of people are rather pleased with that for several reasons, WWE has a big upside as well. With the new year comes the start of the Road To WrestleMania, and that means it is Royal Rumble season. The show is scheduled for the end of January and that means people are going to need to start getting ready for the match. Now we know a few more of those names.

Winning the Royal Rumble can make someone’s career and now that there are two Royal Rumble matches a year, both the men and the women can get that big rub. It means something to have that match available and winning the match launches you straight into the title picture. As a result, wrestlers are going to want in on the match and now we have two more names.

During this week’s Monday Night Raw, one more name was confirmed for the Royal Rumble and two more were heavily suggested. Bobby Lashley confirmed that he was entering the men’s match, making him the second entrant after Daniel Bryan entered last week on SmackDown. Nia Jax also said that she was planning on entering the women’s match, with Shayna Baszler saying that sounded like a good idea. WWE.com has only confirmed Jax for the match.

Opinion: This is one of my favorite times of the year as you can feel the match being built up every single week. Letting the fans find out a handful of names a week lets them get into the match without knowing everyone involved and that’s a great thing. Hopefully we get a great Royal Rumble next year, as it can set the stage for everything else that is taking place over the year.
