So it’s back. The Money in the Bank briefcase has changed a lot of things about the way WWE works over the last fifteen plus years. The briefcase offers a wrestler a quick path to the main event as it gives you a very strong chance at a World Title reign just by winning a ladder match. It can change your career and now it might be doing that for someone all over again.

This year has been a wild ride for the men’s briefcase, which started out hanging above Titan Towers at Money in the Bank. Otis won the briefcase when it dropped into his hands, but then he lost it to Miz at Hell In A Cell. Miz cashed it in at Tables, Ladders And Chairs in a losing effort, but since this is the wackiest year the briefcase has ever seen, we still aren’t done yet.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Adam Pearce returned the Money in the Bank briefcase to the Miz. Pearce said that Miz’s complaint was accurate, as John Morrison officially cashed in the briefcase at Tables, Ladders And Chairs, meaning that Miz was still Mr. Money in the Bank. This is the first itme that anyone has ever had the briefcase returned to them after any kind of a cash in.

Opinion: I really wish they hadn’t gone this way as Miz has not been the best addition to the main event scene. I’ve been a fan of Miz for a long time now but he does not feel like a real threat to Drew McIntyre and the title. I’m not sure what this is going to do, but hopefully it does not last long and does not involve Miz winning the title now. Miz being champion again one day would be one thing, but not at the moment.
