Moving on up. NXT is a different kind of place for wrestlers as success means that you might be moving on instead of sticking around. The ultimate goal of NXT wrestlers is to make it up to the main WWE rosters, which means that your success is meant as a way to get out of where you’ve had that success. That might be the case for one of the more popular NXT wrestlers at the moment, who may be heading up to the WWE sooner rather than later.

Can you imagine this on the main roster?

Velveteen Dream makes his fashionable ring entrance: NXT TakeOver: WarGames (WWE Network Exclusive)

According to F4Wonline.com by way of 411mania.com, the Velveteen Dream may be moving up to the main roster in short order. There is no word on when this might be happening or which show he might be moving to, but there are two schools of thought on Dream moving up sooner or later. Dream was recently in action at Takeover: New Orleans in the ladder match to crown the inaugural North American Heavyweight Champion, which was won by Adam Cole.

Opinion: This has me worried. Velveteen Dream is a very tricky character to book and there’s a very good chance that WWE would screw him up like they’ve done to so many characters before. I’d love to see Dream wind up being the man to take the NXT Title away from Aleister Black as payback from his previous loss, but at this rate that doesn’t seem to be likely. Dream is a unique guy and I’d have to see WWE screw up the chances they have with one of their very few homegrown talents.
