Bounce back. As is almost always the case, Impact Wrestling is on an up and down streak of late, but this time around it’s been more positive than negative. Since the new bosses took over, the ratings and audience have been moving upward a little bit, which is all you can hope for more often than not. Last week’s numbers took a pretty hard hit, but maybe that was just a blip in the radar. This time around though, things were potentially going to be even stronger coming off the Impact Wrestling vs. Lucha Underground show. So how did things go this week?

Top 5 Must-See Moments from IMPACT for Apr. 12, 2018 | IMPACT! Highlights Apr. 12, 2018

According to Wrestlinginc.com, this week’s episode of Impact Wrestling drew 381,000 viewers, up 30% from last week’s 294,000 viewers. This is the second highest number of the year, trailing the 399,000 viewers on the March 29 show. In addition to the fallout from Impact Wrestling vs. Lucha Underground, there was also Alberto El Patron’s release from the company due to some issues involving no showing the aforementioned show. This week’s show was headlined by the Demon’s Dance match between Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie.

Opinion: It’s nice to see that the previous week’s drop in viewership seems to be a blip. This is more in line with what the show has been doing as of late and hopefully they can continue to keep things up. The show wasn’t the most interesting in the world for me, but apparently the audience was more interested in what they had offered this time around. Good for them, and hopefully they can keep it going.
