He was doing what? Wrestlers can get injured doing a lot of things. Maybe it’s doing a segment in the back or maybe it’s in the ring, which would seem to be much more common than other options. However, every once in awhile there’s something very different. That’s the case with Jerry Lawler, who was diagnosed with a stroke in recent weeks. This time around, Lawler was doing something very different, and thankfully wound up being ok in the long run.

He’s made a comeback before.

Jerry "The King" Lawler returns to Raw: Raw, Nov. 12, 2012

According to the New York Post, Lawler’s recent stroke took place while he was having sex with his girlfriend. Lawler spoke about the incident on his Dinner With The King podcast, where he confirmed the story. Later that day, Lawler saw the right side of his face drooping and was taken to the hospital, where he was put into intensive care. Lawler wound up being able to call the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal last weekend at WrestleMania 34.

Opinion: Well that’s….different. Of course this isn’t the first time that Lawler, 68, has had health issues as he went into cardiac arrest live on Raw in September 2012 and was pronounced dead for a few minutes. Thankfully he seems to be ok now and hopefully he stays that way for a long time going forward. Lawler is a wrestling treasure and one of the best overall talents in wrestling history. Hopefully everything stays fine, but that’s quite the scary story.
