Now we need to know why. There are a lot of people under the WWE umbrella at the moment, with various rosters wrestling in different parts of the world. These rosters will overlap occasionally, but you never can tell what you might see from one show to another. It just so happens that this weekend is one of their biggest of the year and a surprise might be in order.
As announced on the company’s Twitter, NXT UK Women’s Champion Toni Storm will not be appearing at WXW’s event in Toronto, Canada, the site of Summerslam. There is no word given as to why Storm will not be appearing and there is no news of her being injured. While not confirmed, there is a chance that she could have been pulled to make an appearance for WWE, possibly at Takeover: Toronto or Summerslam.

Storm has become a big deal in NXT UK. Check out one of her better matches from there:
Opinion: I’m not sure if this is designed to have Storm show up for WWE or NXT, but it also might be for the sake of keeping a prominent NXT UK name off of a wrestling event in the same town as their major weekend. Storm is one of the bigger names in NXT UK it would be very similar for WWE to try and take talent away from the competition, even one from another country.
Will Storm appear for WWE this weekend? When will she move up to regular NXT? Let us know in the comments below.
