I’d say that worked. Over the last few months, there are very few things that have gotten as much attention as the Lana/Rusev/Bobby Lashley love triangle. The story has not been all that well received by a lot of WWE fans with the reception to the whole thing just not going very well. I can understand that mentality after everything that has gone on in the story, but it turns out that some fans have been rather pleased.
The whole story has gone on for a long time now with all kinds of things taking place in the process. This includes Rusev growing a backbone, a proposal, a wedding that didn’t go through and a big twist involving Liv Morgan. Some of those things took place on the same show, and while the segment may have gone on for a very long time, there are fans who wouldn’t want it any other way.
The videos from the wedding on WWE’s YouTube page have smashed anything else on this week’s Monday Night Raw in terms of overall viewership. The video on Morgan’s twist and the post show angle have currently received 2.6 million and 1.8 million views respectively. By comparison, the next most viewed video of Monday Night Raw is currently sitting at 1.6 million views, with the most viewed after that only having 751,000 views. The Morgan video is the most viewed video on the channel in two weeks, though it has only had about twenty four hours to reach its current viewership.
Well what else would it be? Check out the incredibly popular videos from Monday Night Raw:
Opinion: And that’s why this angle is going to keep going for a long time. The videos are regularly near the top of viewership for the week for WWE and that alone is proof that there is an audience for the story. Now that being said, it might not make for the most popular television product, but at least it is there in one way or another. That’s what WWE cares about and it’s working at the moment.
