The long form story. We are rapidly approaching the Royal Rumble and that means it’s time to get ready for the Road To WrestleMania. WWE is going to start getting things ready in a hurry as the biggest nights of the year are on the way. That means we are going to be seeing some major events coming up and now we might know where one of them is going to go.
Every now and then, WWE puts together a story that is so out there that you almost can’t help but look away. These are the ones that are remembered almost as much as anything else and some of them are absolutely fascinating for a few different reasons. This includes some of the longer running stories, and now we might know how long one of the bigger stories WWE is currently running is going.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the current feud between Randy Orton and the Fiend could stretch all the way out to WrestleMania 37. The two began feuding in November 2020 and have gone on to face off multiple times. This included a Firefly Inferno match at Tables, Ladders and Chairs, which saw Orton light Fiend on fire. That marked the last time that Fiend has been seen on television, but Alexa Bliss has spoken to what seems to be an invisible Fiend.
Opinion: I’m not sure how much longer this feud can go and the idea of seeing it lasting nearly two and a half more months isn’t exactly the most appealing idea in the world. Orton vs. Fiend was not exactly the most thrilling match in the first place and now seeing it happen again on the biggest stage of the year is hardly the most interesting idea. If nothing else, I don’t want to imagine what kind of twist WWE would try to add to the match.
