So close, yet so far away. Earlier this year, Jason Jordan was put on the shelf with a neck injury. The timing couldn’t have been much worse as he was just starting to get the hang of his character. Since then, he’s been rumored for an in-ring return but nothing has been concrete. The six months on the shelf has already been a long time but it might be even longer as we move forward.

According to Mike Johnson on PWInsider Elite Audio by way of ringsidenews.com, Jordan has yet to be medically cleared to return, despite recent rumors that he was ready to come back. Jordan has been doing promotional work for WWE but hasn’t been in the ring since the Royal Rumble on January 28. When he was injured, Kurt Angle said that he would be back just after Wrestlemania. At the moment, there is no date announced for Jordan’s in-ring return.

Here’s what Jordan can do when he’s healthy.

Opinion: There’s no way around a neck injury as you don’t know how long it’s going to take for recovery. How many wrestlers have lost their career after having a neck injury that is just too much to overcome? I really hope Jordan is able to come back to the ring at some point because he was starting to get the hang of his character. The problem is though, he’s already been out for six months and there’s no reason to believe that he’s going to be back anytime soon.

What did you think of Jordan’s character? Should he continue the Angle story when he’s back? Let us know in the comments below.
