You wouldn’t like him when he’s angry. Vince McMahon is not a normal person. In addition to being incredibly rich and the king of an international industry, he is known as someone who can go off the deep end at the drop of a hat. Some of the stories of McMahon going a little out of it are legendary and now he might have indirectly had something to do with getting rid of a higher up in the company.

A lot of fans might not be happy with it, but the WWE is the biggest wrestling company in the world. They have hundreds of employees and several of them are rather high up in the company structure. Like many companies, they have a team of vice presidents with fancy job titles and several of them are going rather well. However, one of them is heading out and McMahon might be pleased.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vice President of Global Television Michael Mansury has left the company. This was considered a surprise as Mansury was viewed as a lifer in the company and has directed several episodes of both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown. Mansury was considered someone who could be the next Kevin Dunn, which caused McMahon to be especially critical of him. The departure was a mixture of the criticism and a lack of moving up in the company. Mansury had been with WWE for eleven years and in the same position for eleven.

While he wasn’t fired, Mansury did leave the company. Check out some others who left under less than great circumstances:

Opinion: This is one of those situations where it seems that McMahon has one group of people that he wants to run things and if you aren’t in that group, he has little use for you. The problem with that is McMahon and company aren’t going to be around forever. At some point you have to find someone else to take over, if not for the future then for the sake of adding in some fresh blood. It’s not like the show couldn’t use it at the moment.
