It’s kind of an exclusive club. Back at WrestleMania 34, Ronda Rousey had one of the best debut matches, either among men or women, in WWE history. She looked like a polished star out there in the mixed tag, holding her own with Triple H and known wrestling star Stephanie McMahon. With that out of the way, she’s now going after the Raw Women’s Title against champion Nia Jax this Sunday at Money in the Bank. A win there would be quite the accomplishment, but others have done something similar before.

Some of these aren’t exactly the same thing.

6 female Superstars who challenged for titles in their debuts: WWE List This

WWE has released a new List This looking at six women who challenged for titles in their debut matches. These aren’t exactly the same things throughout though as the list is inspired by Rousey having her first singles match, but one of these matches is a six way match and another is a battle royal. Some of them are the wrestler’s debut matches but more than one of them had matches in the company prior to getting their title shot. This list dates back from the late 1990s all the way up to last year, giving it quite the range of options.

Rousey and Jax got physical on Monday. Check out our full Monday Night Raw results to see what happened.
Opinion: I know what they’re going for here, but what interests me more is how much this match is being hyped up. There’s a real chance that Rousey winning the title, and potentially being cashed in on, closes the show. I’m not sure how smart of a move that is, but Rousey is someone with some star power and WWE could use something to draw some attention over the death that is the summer. There isn’t much else for Rousey to do at the moment so putting the title on her might be the best option they have, which says a lot given how new she still is to the company.

Do you think Rousey wins the title? If so, does she leave with it? Let us know in the comments below.
