When the shaking stops. Last night’s Monday Night Raw offered the first half of the 2018 Superstar Shakeup. This time around, a host of big names came over from the red show to the blue counterpart. Some big stars made the move over to Monday Night Raw but the real question was what would SmackDown do to get us back to a more even playing field. There was also the chance of some NXT names coming up, which could make things even more interesting. So how did SmackDown do?

Here are this week’s full results.

This week on SmackDown Live, more than fifteen names were added to the roster. Some of these names were moved over from Monday Night Raw while several of them were brought up from NXT. One of the names had already been announced on Monday Night Raw, but that name wasn’t there tonight. Here are the names, grouped together by where they came from and/or when they were announced.

Announced Monday

The Miz

From Monday Night Raw

Jeff Hardy (United States Champion)
Sonya Deville
Mandy Rose
Samoa Joe
Big Cass
Asuka
Anderson and Gallows
The Bar
R-Truth

From NXT

Sanity (Killian Dain, Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe)
Andrade Cien Almas w/Zelina Vega

This was one of the bigger ones.

Samoa Joe debuts on SmackDown LIVE in the Superstar Shake-up: SmackDown LIVE, April 17, 2018

Opinion: I’m rather pleased with this set of names as it looks like SmackDown came out on top, at least on the surface. A lot of the new names are being put into the right places and that makes things a lot brighter on Tuesday night. There are big names moving over from Raw and that makes some stuff feel like it matters on SmackDown for a change. Of course there’s the chance that this goes nowhere, but just having Almas, Vega and Sanity on the main roster is a step in the right direction.
