Well that would have been different. There are a lot of different characters in WWE and that has been the case for a very long time now. Some of these are a lot better than others but the memorable ones are what matter the most. If a wrestler manages to find something that works for them, it could make things work for a very long time to come. Not everything is that kind of a success though, and now we know what one of the rejected ideas was going to be.
Earlier this month, news broke that Lars Sullivan was released from WWE after one of the most tumultuous runs with the company in history. It seemed that Sullivan was almost cursed in that he could never make any kind of success last, even though he brought a lot of it onto himself. Even though WWE let him go, there was something planned for him which could have gone either way.
This week, Sullivan has shared some concept photos from an idea that WWE was considering for him, using the name the Brilliant Behemoth, Lawrence Sullivan. The character would have work a bowler hat and large overcoat to the ring, with suspenders for in-ring gear. There is no word on why WWE did not go ahead with the character, though Sullivan only wrestled less than ten matches on the main roster.
Sullivan was a big deal while he was around. Check out his time on the main roster:
Opinion: This is one of those ideas that I could absolutely see happening, no matter how out there it might seem. WWE certainly loves itself some alliteration and it would have made sense for WWE to go with something like this. Sullivan’s career seems to be over for the moment, but it certainly does leave you wondering what could have happened if everything hadn’t fallen apart.
