It’s starting to fill up. Believe it or not, we are less than three weeks away from the Royal Rumble. It is one of the biggest shows of the year and that means things need to be put together properly to get the maximum impact out of the whole thing. With thirty spots each for the men’s and women’s matches, the chances to get in can be put at a premium and that means the entry announcements are a big deal.

The Royal Rumble has a long history of making someone into a bigger star. It’s a springboard almost guaranteeing you a World Title shot at WrestleMania, which isn’t something that everyone can get. There are a lot of people who would love to get such a shot and with the Royal Rumble so close, it’s time for them to set up their spots. Several of those took place on Monday Night Raw.

This week on Monday Night Raw, seven more names were announced for the men’s Royal Rumble. In addition to WWE Champion Brock Lesnar announcing that he would be entering the match at #1, Erick Rowan, AJ Styles, Randy Orton Rey Mysterio, Ricochet and Drew McIntyre all entered the match as well. McIntyre made his announcement on his own while the other five were announced collectively on a graphic.

There can be some big surprises in the Royal Rumble. Check out some of the biggest of all time:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that they need to do, but I would leave a few spots open. Some of the best things about the Royal Rumble are the surprises, which you can’t have if the names are announced in advance. Yeah you can do a last minute switch at the pay per view, but it’s better if you have the time to build things up. This is a good batch of names though and they’re off to a good start with the Rumble.
