That’s a heck of a guest book. Over the last few weeks, wrestling fans have been wondering who was going to show up at SmackDown 1000. For weeks now there have been names being talked about as either attending or not attending, with various levels of happiness about either decision. Now that the show has come and gone, we now know who was actually there.

This week’s SmackDown 1000 special featured a variety of cameos from various legends who have appeared on the show at one point or another. Some of the names who appeared were announced in advance while several others were surprises. Many of them were only on screen for a few seconds, though a few had full in-ring or backstage segments. Here is a list of everyone who made a special appearance and what they did:

Stephanie McMahon/Shane McMahon/Vince McMahon – Opening segment
Vickie Guerrero/Teddy Long/John Laurinaitis – Backstage segment
Evolution – In-ring segment
Edge – Hosted the Cutting Edge
Tony Chimel – Introduced Edge
Jerry Lawler/Booker T. – Guest commentary on Tag Team Title match
John Cena – Video message
Undertaker – Promo after main event

The Rock did not appear, but did tweet about the show, which was read on air.

He’s one of the more important ones.

John Cena congratulates SmackDown on 1000 episodes: SmackDown 1000, Oct. 16, 2018

Opinion: There were certainly a lot of big names around, but there were several others who could have been there. It might have helped the pacing of the show a little bit if they didn’t have so many long segments over the course of a two hour show. The cameos were well handled though and that makes for a good nostalgic show. I liked what I saw and most of the big names were present in one way or another.

Which of the cameos was your favorite? Who did you want to see that didn’t show up? Let us know in the comments below.
