That was a scary one. You never know when you are going to see someone get hurt in wrestling. No matter how talented the wrestlers can be, there is no way to be completely safe in the wrestling ring. Something could go wrong at any given point and that is a fairly scary situation. We saw someone undergo a terrifying looking moment on NXT this week and there is a reason it made air.

The Coronavirus has caused WWE television to be put back into a strange place, with many of the shows being taped in advance over the summer. While this might not seem like the biggest change, one of the more important changes is what WWE can edit in a few changes when necessary. For some reason they left in a pretty scary moment this week and now we know what that reason is.

During this week’s NXT, Johnny Gargano was dropped on his head during his match against Ridge Holland. The match continued with Gargano winning after being checked by the referee. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the match was restarted and re-shot from the beginning, with the version shown being edited together from both. The landing was included because it “looked devastating” and Gargano was fine after the landing. Gargano was checked after the landing and after the match, where he was said to be ok.

It looked horrible. Check out how the landing went:

Opinion: That’s not the best reason to air something like that, especially when it could have been edited out with no one watching being any the wiser. Thankfully Gargano is ok and that is what matters more than anything else. It is an acceptable enough reason to put the botch on television, but it doesn’t help with the cringing as Gargano bounced on his head like that.

What did you think of the match? What is the scariest botch you have ever seen? Let us know in the comments below.
