That’s a long time. There are so many talented wrestlers in the world today but unfortunately that means there are also a lot of ways for them to get injured. You never know when you are going to see someone get taken out of action for anywhere from a few days to a year or more, and unfortunately an injury earlier this year is keeping someone out for more of the latter.
The AEW women’s division has come a very long way in a short amount of time. The division got off to a slow start but then started to pull it together with a variety of different wrestlers getting to showcase themselves. One of these names was unlike anyone else as she said she was an alien, which certainly gets someone noticed. A bad injury took her out of the ring though and now it seems like it could be the case for a lot longer.
In a new interview with Wrestling Inc. Daily, Kris Statlander said that she could be out of action for another eight months, meaning her AEW return might not take place until May 2021. Statlander said that she wants to get back in the ring before she returns to AEW television as she is planning on almost completely re-debuting. Her injury took place during a tag match on the June 10 edition of AEW Dynamite.
AEW is getting back someone pretty cool. Check out Statlander’s time in the ring:
Opinion: That’s quite the long time and that’s a shame. Statlander was starting to become a big deal and while the alien deal is a little much at times, it is never a good thing to see someone get put on the injured list for such a long time (or any length of time for that matter). Hopefully she is back a lot sooner than later, because that is a heck of a long time to be on the shelf.
What do you think of Statlander? What should she do when she gets back? Let us know in the comments below.
