India rocks. Over a four week stretch, “Impact Wrestling” became the first show to be broadcast from India. This has led to a different feel for the shows, which have now had a focus gearing more towards the Indian market. The question was how would the American TV audience respond to the shows.
Actually not that badly,
according to 411mania.com. This week’s show drew a .08 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 327,000 viewers, up 33% and 3% respectfully from last week’s numbers. Both numbers are the best since the March 16 episode. The episode was highlighted by an X-Division Title match between champion Low Ki and Sonjay Dutt with Dutt winning the title for the first time.
Opinion: Not bad at all, though they still have a good way to go. The problem for “Impact Wrestling” has been that they can’t maintain their audiences or grow them beyond a certain point. If they were able to advance past those points, the company could start to see a bit of growth. As it is though, they tend to stay in the same cycle over and over.
