You’d be living under a rock if you didn’t guess Alexa Bliss was one of, if not the hottest woman in WWE right now. She was the first to capture both the ‘Raw’ and ‘Smackdown Live’ Women’s Championships and is currently on a strong run with the ‘Raw’ variation of the belt.

WWE.com interviewed Alexa Bliss, where she spoke about her position in the company, the draft and what is next for her, among other topics.

Bliss is first asked if she expected to rise through the ranks as a competitor on the main roster.

“How dare you? Of course I expected to rise so quickly. I know what I’m capable of. Even though other people didn’t know, I was going to make sure they knew exactly who Alexa Bliss was, and I was going to make sure they never forgot it.”

While in NXT, Bliss was unable to capture the NXT Women’s Championship and was generally said to be overlooked by the majority in favor of talent such as Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Bayley and Sasha Banks. The same would apply to Carmella, who she often worked with while in developmental.

“I came in under the radar, and I made sure I used that to my advantage. The mentality I had was, “You don’t think I’m going to be anything big? Well, watch me.””

During her time in NXT, Bliss was part of a Tag Team known by fans as ‘BAMF’ or Blake & Murphy. They would capture the NXT Tag Team Championship. While both Blake and Murphy have split up and not been promoted, Bliss has excelled since coming to the main roster. It should also be noted that Murphy was recently involved with The Rock in a Twitter exchange that may lead to more.

“You know, it was a great time being with Blake & Murphy. I always made sure that, even if their matches weren’t going the way they wanted to, they went the way that I wanted to. And with that, it was pretty easy to take time separate from that and hone my craft in the ring. When it was time for me to get in the ring, I was ready.”

Bliss spoke next of her spot in the draft, where she was brought up to the main roster from NXT as a late pick by Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan for the ‘Smackdown Live’ brand.

“I was definitely surprised I got drafted. But then, after thinking about it, I started wondering why I was drafted so late. That’s when I decided I was going to take every opportunity and run with it. I went, “OK, you want to draft me late? Watch me become the biggest star in this business.””

Next, WWE.com asked Bliss when she thinks she really hit a stride with her momentum on the main roster.

“When I put Becky through a table at TLC. That was the moment that showed I can do everything everyone thought I couldn’t, and I did it well, and I became the SmackDown Women’s Champion by putting the top girl through a table. What other people can say that?”

Finally, Bliss explains her goals for the future in response to being asked about her happiness with where she is at and her goals for the future.

“Of course I’m happy. Why wouldn’t I be happy? I’m the Raw Women’s Champion. I want to be the longest-reigning Raw Women’s Champion. And I’m going to do whatever it takes to make sure that happens.”

Editor’s Note:

Bliss is arguably one of the best women the company has and deserves to be looked at as such. She is loved by the fans, can work great in the ring, is a proven heel and more. I can’t wait to see what happens with her in the future, because her future is bright.
