The future is looking brighter. Thanks to AEW, NXT has changed a lot in recent months. The show has gone from one hour a week on a taped broadcast to two hours live every single Wednesday night. It has become the new norm for NXT and while the changes have been positive, one thing that has stayed the same is the venue of Full Sail University. NXT seems to be in need of a bigger venue, but is that going to be the case?
According to PWInsider.com, NXT will be running weekly events at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida through at least the beginning of February, with tickets already on sale. While there have been rumors of the show moving elsewhere, there is no indication of when the move will take place. NXT has also stopped filming their post-Takeover television shows before Takeover begins, with the followup shows airing like any regular week would.
They certainly know their history here. Check out some of the greatest moments from Full Sail University:
Opinion: I know a lot of fans have suggested that NXT leave Full Sail but it is their home arena and a place that works well enough for television. You are going to have a hot crowd every week and it isn’t like selling the place out is difficult. At the end of the day, the atmosphere is important but not as much as the wrestlers and what they are doing that week. It would be nice to move one day, but it isn’t required.
