According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jordan’s injury is actually worse than expected and there are no plans for him to return “at the present time”. At the moment, WWE would likely be preparing their stories for the post-Summerslam stretch and if he isn’t being considered for anything now, it’s unlikely that he would be back anytime soon. Jordan last wrestled over six months ago at the Royal Rumble.

Opinion: Neck injuries are nothing to mess around with and when you consider how many wrestlers have had their careers ended by the same problem, it’s better to take this seriously than risking things getting even worse. There’s always the chance that Jordan will never wrestle again and really, maybe that’s for the best. WWE isn’t going to run that risk and if his neck is that bad, don’t let him get back in the ring before he’s completely ready to go.
