What Happened After SmackDown Live Went Off the Air?

Everyone needs more wrestling in their lives. John Cena made his big return to WWE this week as he appeared on SmackDown Live and opened the show with a long talk, including his announcement about wanting to challenge for the Smackdown World Title at Royal Rumble 2017.

In addition to his talking though, Cena also got in the ring for a tag match after the show ended. Following the show, Cena teamed up with Dean Ambrose to face the team of Miz and AJ Styles. You can see the last few minutes of the match below. Cena would pin Styles after an Attitude Adjustment to win the match.

Putting Cena in a tag match for his return makes sense as you can give him a breather instead of having him go out there and do everything himself. It also ties two feuds into one match to give the fans something a little more special than usual. Finally, getting Cena into the ring with Styles is a good idea before their title match at the pay per view.
