The champ is there. John Cena is one of the biggest stars that wrestling has ever seen and now he is taking his talents to Hollywood. He still appears from time to time on WWE television but those appearances are becoming further and further between. With Cena moving towards Hollywood, the bigger roles are going to start coming and now it is happening again.
As announced on director James Gunn’s Twitter account, Cena will be appearing in the sequel to Suicide Squad, which will be called The Suicide Squad. Cena’s name was listed as one of twenty four names on the poster. The film is Cena’s first in the DC Extended Universe and is scheduled for release on August 6, 2021. There is no word on which character Cena will be playing in the film.

Cena has come a long way from this. Check out his performance in an older film:
Opinion: It makes sense as Cena is pretty much a superhero most of the time. He certainly looks like someone who can be put in a role like this and everything will work fine. It also helps to have that kind of a huge cast where Cena can both have a chance to stand out in small doses without having the big spotlight put on him. That will likely come one day, but Cena isn’t there yet.
