Welcome home again. With about a month to go before the huge Super Show-Down event in Melbourne, Australia on October 6, a lot of the card is already set up. Some of the matches are bigger than others, but at the same time there is still room for some more stuff to be added. There are a few more matches added to the card, and one of them is going to get a heck of a reaction from the live crowd.
As announced on WWE.com, two more tag team matches have been confirmed for the Super Show-Down event. One of the matches will be a title match with New Day defending the SmackDown Tag Team Titles against the Bar. Assuming this match goes on as scheduled, it would suggest that either the New Day will retain the titles against the winners of the #1 contenders tournament or the Bar will win the tournament and the titles. The other match will see the IIconics face off with Asuka and Naomi, in a story that was set up on this week’s SmackDown Live.
There’s already an announcement about one of the matches.
Opinion: The more I see of the card, the more I’m starting to like it. The Greatest Royal Rumble card wasn’t the most thrilling in the world as there were just a bunch of title matches for the sake of having title matches. This card is more about storylines that have been set up in advance, which makes the show that much more interesting. Hopefully they pull off a better show this time around.
