One more for the card. We’re less than two weeks away from Evolution, the first ever all women’s wrestling pay per view from WWE. The card is billed as featuring over fifty female wrestlers, meaning a lot of matches are going to be announced. Several already have been, many of which are either dream matches or close to it. The latest match announced has taken place before, but it’s still a big deal.
As announced on WWE.com, Lita will be facing Mickie James at Evolution on October 28. The two have fought several times before, though the most recent was nearly twelve years ago. James defeated Lita for the Women’s Title in Lita’s retirement match at Survivor Series 2006. The match is the seventh announced for the card, though four of them haven’t been announced yet and the fifth will be the finals of the Mae Young Classic, which hasn’t aired on television yet.
They’ve done it before.
Opinion: They’re getting somewhere with this card, though it’s turned into a battle of the generations show. That’s not the worst idea in the world as there are some great matches to be found, but you can only go so far with that concept. It doesn’t really sound like a big time show but rather a novelty card. Lita vs. James is a good addition and feels like a dream match, even though it’s one we’ve seen before.
