That’s a different way to go. At some point, every wrestler has to hang up their boots and retire. It might not be the happiest day for everyone involved, but no wrestler can keep going forever. There are a lot of different ways to wrap up a career and we have seen most of them over the years. Now though, someone has come up with a different method, but we won’t exactly be seeing it.

Back in April, WWE released dozens of wrestlers from up and down their multiple rosters. There are only so many different things that the released wrestlers can do in the future, including going to another wrestling promotion. However, there are not going to be enough spots for everyone who was released so some wrestlers are going to have to do something else. One is doing something very different.

Lio Rush, who was one of the released wrestlers from April, has announced that he will be releasing what he refers to as his final match, which will be a shoot interview in the form of an album. Rush had teased his “final match” last week, with the details being promised on Monday. There is no word on where the album will be released or what will be on it. Rush’s last wrestling match took place on the February 28 edition of 205 Live.

Rush was a lot of fun in the ring. Check out what he could do:

Opinion: It’s certainly different, though I’m not entirely convinced that this is going to be the end of Rush’s in-ring career. At some point, someone could offer him a rather nice spot for a comeback match and it might lure him back in. Rush is only 25 years old and that is rather early to hang up your boots. There is nothing wrong with wanting to step away though and if he never wrestles again, at least he is going out on his terms.
