That would be a different way to go. The wrestling world has been changing like very few times in history this year, with some of the changes being due to all of the people either coming to or leaving various promotions. That is the case with places other than WWE and AEW, with some people leaving WWE for another home. It turns out that two of the bigger moves were supposed to be very different.

With all of the changes taking place in WWE, some other promotions have not been receiving as much attention as others. This includes Impact Wrestling, which has seen some major changes of their own. The big change saw reigning World Champion Tessa Blanchard being released over not wanting to leave Mexico during the Coronavirus. She was planned to leave Impact Wrestling after Slammiversary, and the original plans were rather unique.

During their latest episode of the Talk’N Shop podcast, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson revealed that they were originally planned to interfere in the main event of Slammiversary. The original plan was a five way elimination match with Blanchard defending against Michael Elgin, Trey, Ace Austin and Eddie Edwards. Gallows and Anderson were going to attack Blanchard in their debut, though the plan was changed when Blanchard was fired. The pair did appear after the main event, siding with new World Champion Eddie Edwards.

The team has a lot to do in Impact Wrestling. Check out what they said in their first Impact Wrestling promo:

Opinion: This is something that could have been interesting as the team attacking Blanchard would have been different, but the plans were changed so much that their options were limited. They certainly were treated as big deals upon arriving though and that could get them a long way in Impact Wrestling. Attacking the World Champion straight out of the gate would have been something though and it’s a shame things went down the way they did before the pay per view.
