That’s a nice way to start. One of the best things to take place in the wrestling world over the last year plus has been the rise of AEW. In addition to giving the fans another rather entertaining television show to watch every week, the company has also given some wrestlers another place to go. At the same time, that has set up a few ways for wrestlers to make themselves more valuable, which will be on display next week.
AEW has done a good job of presenting fresh talents to the wrestling world. These are some very skilled wrestlers who have nog gotten the chance to showcase themselves on the big stage as of yet but a few more of them are getting their show. One wrestler made a name for himself this way, and now he is officially signed with WWE. Now we know when to expect him.
During this week’s edition of NXT UK, the second edition of Noam Dar’s Supernova Sessions talk show was announced, with newcomer Ben Carter scheduled as the guest. The show will air on the January 7 NXT UK, which will serve as Carter’s debut. Carter wrestled a handful of matches for AEW and became a sought after free agent as a result, ultimately signing with WWE last year.
Opinion: I’m not wild on talk show segments, but there is something to be said about throwing Carter out there instead of having him debut cold in a quick squash match. Carter has some buzz going and while I’m not sure how much of that is going to translate over from AEW to NXT UK, it’s nice to see them trying something different instead of sticking the tip of their toe in for a change.
