Dang it wrong company. Since the rise of AEW began, the wrestling wars have risen to a level not seen in well over twenty years. This can create a lot of changes to the wrestling companies and the business as a whole, which can cause things to be moving around at a very fast pace. It seems that things were moving so fast that someone got caught off guard this week.
This week on Monday Night Raw, the NXT Tag Team Champions the Street Profits made their main roster debut in a backstage segment. As tends to be the case with anything that happens on television, WWE made note of this on their social media platforms. This included Instagram, where the team was called “AEW” rather than their official name. The change was corrected almost instantly, but an image was captured on Twitter.

They could be something special. Check out the Profits from this week’s Monday Night Raw:
Opinion: This seems like someone just not paying attention while they were typing, but my goodness you can imagine the backlash this is going to receive. Assuming this was likely a low level employee making the post, there is a good chance that they will be fired in a hurry. Even if it doesn’t mean much in the grand scheme of things, that is quite the bad looking mistake to make.
Are you glad the Street Profits were on the show? Will they be sticking around? Let us know in the comments below.
