Can you define essential? The wrestling world is in a very strange place at the moment and it isn’t something that we have ever really seen before. As a result, it is not clear where things are going to go on a day to day basis, which presents a problem as WrestleMania 36 is only about two weeks away. With that show coming, everything needs to be as right as possible, but that might not be the case.
As you might have guessed, Brock Lesnar is going to be featured in a prominent role at this year’s WrestleMania. Lesnar is the reigning WWE Champion and will be defending his title against Royal Rumble winner Drew McIntyre. That is the kind of match that could easily headline the show, but it turns out that there might be something standing in the way of the match taking place as planned.
Earlier this week, the United States and Canada agreed to close the border between the countries to all non-essential traffic. This presents a potential problem for Lesnar, who lives in Canada and might not be allowed to re-enter the United States for a wrestling show. However, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this will not be an issue for Lesnar, who is scheduled to appear at next week’s Monday Night Raw, where he has been advertised. That would likely mean Lesnar will be available for WrestleMania as well.
Lesnar has a score to settle with McIntyre. Check out how they got here:
Opinion: This is as good of a reason as any for WWE to consider taping WrestleMania when they can. At the moment, Lesnar should be allowed to come into America but he might not be able to do so in two weeks. This is a completely strange version of WrestleMania and there is a chance that anything going wrong could cause a lot of harm to the show. Hopefully it works out, but that is far from guaranteed.
Will Lesnar be there for the match? Who leaves as champion? Let us know in the comments below.
