Up Up Drax the Destroyer? There are a lot of legends in WWE but only a handful of them have been able to move on to fame outside of the company. Some of the few who have are becoming known in Hollywood, with the Rock and John Cena being two pretty big wrestling names to head that way. Another has carved out a nice niche for himself, but he isn’t done with wrestling just yet.

Batista is a weird situation as he became one of the biggest stars in WWE history but was firmly behind John Cena and arguably behind Randy Orton for a long stretch of his career. That didn’t stop Batista from becoming an absolute WWE legend and then moving on to Hollywood where he has done quite well in his own right. He will still do a few things with wrestling though and that will be the case again this week.

The UpUpDownDown Twitter account has announced that Batista will be appearing on the channel on July 23 at 10:00AM EST on the Battle of the Brands show. This will be Batista’s first appearance on the show, which features various WWE stars and personalities playing WWE video games. Batista is currently scheduled to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, though the 2020 induction ceremony was postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The show is certainly different. Check out what Batista is getting into:

Opinion: This is one of those things that is always cool to see as Batista certainly doesn’t seem to be ashamed of his time in wrestling. It is always nice to see someone getting the chance to move on to something bigger, but at the same time, it is very nice to see those same people remembering what helped get them there. A lot of it is pure talent, but wrestling offered them a major platform. It’s ok to come back and visit occasionally, which is what Batista is doing.

What did you think of Batista? Who will induct him into the Hall of Fame? Let us know in the comments below.
