That could slow things down. Wrestling is a physical sport and it has the same perils as any sport. One of the biggest of them all is an injury, which can come in a lot of forms. Not only can it be something that comes out of nowhere, but it could also be something that builds up over time. Either way, it means time on the shelf and that is what we are seeing in AEW.
While AEW has been praised for a lot of things that they have done, there have been a few ideas that have not gone as well. That was the case with the original version of the Dark Order, though they have improved things in a big way with Brodie Lee as the Exalted One. The team is now almost exclusively focused on him and a few of his lackeys, but now things might be slowed down again.
Preston Vance, better known as the Dark Order’s 10 in AEW, has announced that he underwent some sort of surgery on his arm. It is not clear what kind of surgery he had, though he mentioned that he worked out twice on the same day. This was explained on television when AEW World Champion Jon Moxley injured 10’s arm. There was no mention of how long he will be out of action. 10 debuted as part of the Dark Order on May 5 and last wrestled on the May 20 edition of Dynamite in a loss to Moxley.
I had surgery 3 days ago and worked out twice today. I got asked “what makes you so motivated?” That’s easy…. To make @ThisBrodieLee proud. #AEW #DarkOrder #JoinUs #X pic.twitter.com/Wbnjp5HRB7

10 has been around for a bit. Check out what happened when he met Moxley:
Opinion: Hopefully this one isn’t too bad as 10 is already working out again after the surgery. It could be something that keeps him on the shelf for a long time though and that would be horrible to hear. Even though 10 is not the biggest star in AEW, he doesn’t need to be injured and on the shelf. The Dark Order is finally starting to get somewhere, but they have a long way to go. 10 could help that, but only once he is healthy.
