Pro Wrestling Sheet has today confirmed the length of time former NXT Tag Team Champion Tomasso Ciampa will be out of action for.
Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet has explained that sources close to him have confirmed Ciampa is not expected to return until the early months of 2018, potentially sidelining him until sometime around March.
It has been previously reported that Ciampa suffered a torn ACL at NXT ‘TakeOver: Chicago’ but was suffering a bad leg from a live event shortly before the special.
The clip above takes place on the last NXT show Tommaso worked at, where he cut a promo explaining his actions at ‘TakeOver: Chicago.’ This is very much worthy of a watch, as this may be the last time he is in a ring for months.
If any more updates do come out on the situation with Tommaso Ciampa and his expected return, Wrestling Rumors will update you!
Editor’s Note:
If I recall right, Chicago was back in April. If he is to be out until March of next year, he would’ve missed 11 months of action due to this injury. NXT had something great with Tommaso vs. Johnny but that will have to wait. Will Gargano be promoted before Ciampa returns? I have no idea.
