The Tye Dye Guy has made it his mission to sit ringside at as many professional wrestling events as possible. However, in spite of keeping up with this gimmick for over 500 live shows, this superfan recently got a slap on the wrist over his appearance.
According to Tye Dye Guy, WWE officials asked him to move during this week’s Monday Night Raw because he looked too much like Hulk Hogan. He’s made headlines numerous times in the past in recognition of his enthusiasm and in appreciation of his Hogan homage, but things were different this time.
Fortunately, Hulk Hogan himself took to Twitter to personally apologize for the incident.
sorry about THAT my brother, they probably thought you might slam Strowman HH

Though it’s been conjectured recently that the WWE is warming to a Hulk Hogan return, this action seems to suggest otherwise. Why else would they be so sensitive about a Hogan lookalike when he had been one of their most beloved advocates?
Back in 2015, the WWE called Tye Dye Guy one of the top 10 greatest fans in sports entertainment history, but the span of a year and the Gawker lawsuit changed all that. Suddenly they aren’t feeling so generous with him.
What do you think? Was the WWE in the right to relocate the Tye Dye Guy, or did they make a fuss over nothing? Let us know in the comments or on our Facebook page.
