Opening the list with a BANG. It’s Hall of Fame season and that means we can start naming people being inducted into the hallowed WWE halls this year. In this case, we already have a first name announced with several more to come in the coming weeks. While the first is a big name, the word on the street is that this is NOT the headliner, meaning it’s going to get better from here.

According to Wrestlinginc.com by way of PWInsider Elite, Diamond Dallas Page will be the first entrant in the Hall of Fame. Page started wrestling in his mid-30s in WCW and wound up winning every available title in the company. He would later come to WWE in 2001 and become European Champion before having to retire due to a neck injury. No official announcement has been made at this point but one seems to be coming soon.

My first question is what took so long. Page seems like someone who should have been in the Hall of Fame years ago for his wrestling accolades alone. Couple that with the wrestling miracles that he’s worked with Scott Hall and Jake Roberts (plus all the wrestlers he’s helped keep in shape with DDP Yoga) and I don’t know how he doesn’t have a small wing named after him.

Do you think Page is a worthy Hall of Famer? Who else do you think should be inducted this year? Let us know in the comments below.
