NXT Superstar Kevin Owens made an impactful debut Thursday night at “NXT Takeover: R Evolution,” as he kicked off the show to a thunderous response from the crowd. Owens took on CJ Parker in the opening bout, one he would win. However, it did not come without a toll.

Owens had his nose broken the hard way after a stiff shot from Parker. WWE posted a video of him getting it stitched up by officials backstage afterwards. The video also includes a conversation between he and Triple H, who was overseeing the show.

Parker also had his hand split to the bone because of the maneuver.

Owens would return later in the night to congratulate new-NXT Champion Sami Zayn, his longtime friend and foe. However afterwards, he’d lay him out on the floor, setting up a program between the two.

Editor’s Note

The man is tough, there’s no doubt about that. What a night this was.
