Former WWE Superstar Chris Jericho stated on Twitter early Friday morning that he is not close to a WWE return anytime soon. The former world champion tweeted the following.

Jericho was last seen on WWE television in the summer, where he put Ryback over in a match at Money in the Bank. He was later written off television shortly thereafter. He made a surprise return at the 2013 Royal Rumble where he entered at No. 2 and lasted more than 40 minutes.

Wrestling Rumors noted earlier that Jericho will be in Pittsburgh, Pa. the same time that the Royal Rumble takes place in January, though he has denied that he will be involved.
