According to Wrestling Observer, Luis Urive, who was the first man to portray the Sin Cara character in WWE, has his contract with WWE expire on Jan. 10, 2014. With Hunico now working under the Sin Cara mask, it is not expected that Urive will be brought back to WWE.

Along with that, according to Wrestling Observer, the belief is that Urive will not be able to sign with a new wrestling promotion until March.

Urive, best-known as Mistico in Mexico, signed a three-year deal with WWE in 2011. Since then, things have not gone well for him as he has battled injuries, had several in-ring mishaps, and had multiple violations to WWE’s Wellness Policy leaving him suspended.
