According to Wrestling Observer, WWE Hall of Famer and legend “Stone Cold” Steve Austin no longer has contractual ties with WWE. Due to this, Austin cannot use the “Stone Cold” name because it is owned by WWE. However, he can use the name, “Steve Austin” because that is his legal name, which was made as part of an agreement with the company.

As of now, there is no word on if the two sides are talking about agreeing to a new contract. “Stone Cold” has not been on WWE programming since 2011, though the two sides have no ill-will towards each other. Austin is currently keeping busy with his new podcast, “The Steve Austin Show,” which can be heard on iTunes as well as here.
