Sunday night’s Night of Champions pay-per-view ended with WWE Champion Randy Orton losing his belt to Daniel Bryan after referee Scott Armstrong went into a fast count for the pin. Word going around the wrestling realm this morning is that WWE announcers were told not to make mention of the fast pin on-air for sake of getting viewers to tune in to Monday Night RAW.

Midway through the match, Armstrong was knocked off the apron by Orton incidentally, and was looked at by the trainers on the outside as a replacement referee continued the match. Armstrong was able to return to action, in which he gave the fast count in Bryan’s favor.

WWE COO Triple H is expected to address the issue as RAW kicks off from Cleveland, Ohio.
