Backstage Heat on WWE Hall of Famer “Rowdy” Roddy Piper

“Rowdy” Roddy Piper may be a WWE Hall of Famer and star of the hit reality show “WWE Legends House,” but that apparently does not save him from some backstage heat. And according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Piper has plenty of it.

The cause of the backstage heat is not entirely clear, though. Some have pointed to some words he had in a Kayfabe Commentaries DVD, aimed at Pat Patterson. While the clip insinuates Patterson “molested” Piper, he never used those exact words.

Another reason why the company may be upset with him is due to comments he made in promotional appearances for the reality show on the WWE Network itself. Piper noted he felt “uncomfortable” watching the show back, and provided some negative publicity towards what actually happened at the mansion when the show was shot a few years back.

This is far form the first time Piper has been in the doghouse with WWE officials though, and it is likely that both sides will move on.

The comments about Patterson are strong, but incredibly vague. If there was a serious issue, it should have been addressed in the appropriate time and place.
