In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is an interesting note on WWE looking to utilize some MMA and UFC stars for the event. The newsletter reports there has been talk within WWE of using The Four Horsewomen in some sort of angle for WWE’s grand summer spectacle,”SummerSlam.”

The Four Horsewomen is a group of four of MMA’s baddest and toughest women: Ronda Rousey, Marina Shafir, Shayna Baszler, and Jessamyn Duke. The group was started by Rousey, the first and current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion. In addition to Rousey’s best friend and sparring partner, Shafir, Rousey invited fellow UFC competitors in Baszler and Duke to train with them in Southern California.

There, as time went on, The Four Horsewomen were born. The foursome cover a good chunk of the spectrum of a MMA career: Rousey, the established champion, Shafir, the novice, Baszler, the veteran, and Duke, the prospect.

The newsletter’s report also noted that current WWE Diva Natalya has been training with The Four Horsewomen in the past. Though, nothing is known about what kind of angle the four women would have at “SummerSlam.”

Editor’s Note

While I’m not too familiar with the group, only knowing of Rousey, I wouldn’t mind an appearance from the group at “SummerSlam.” Most WWE fans should know of Rousey, and if they’ve ever seen her fight, they know she is arguably the baddest women on the planet.
