Going up against Monday Night Football and the U.S. presidential debates, last night’s Raw wasn’t going to see terrific ratings, so the brand promoted two big title matches for next week’s show in Los Angeles.

The first is a one-on-one rematch between Charlotte and Sasha Banks for the Raw Women’s Championship. Sasha won the title on the first post-split Raw just to lose it at SummerSlam shortly after, so conventional wisdom would say not to expect the title to find its way back on another episode of Raw.

However, the word is that Sasha only lost the title due to concern over the seriousness of her back injury, so she could pick up her position as champion soon. It could happen on TV to set up new feuds for October’s Hell in a Cell PPV.

T.J. Perkins is also set to defend the Cruiserweight Championship in a Clash of Champions rematch against Brian Kendrick. It should be a fun one, though I certainly don’t expect a title change. That is unless the Cincinnati crowd’s apathetic response to Perkins last night sends Raw’s booking into a panic.

Title change or no, those are two terrific match-ups with high enough stakes that they should get time to shine, and will help to set up the stories leading into Hell in a Cell.

Do you expect either of these titles change hands on Raw? Let us know in the comments!
