Wrestling fans are a bloodthirsty bunch–if you’re not beating somebody with a steel chair, they want no part of you. Just look at Roman Reigns, who got his one universally positive response when he beat up Triple H in Philadelphia.

Tonight, Dolph Ziggler took on Baron Corbin in a singles match to settle their reignited rivalry after each man failed to capture the WWE Championship from AJ Styles. Corbin put down the Show Off with the End of Days, but the real story was what happened after the match.

The Lone Wolf picked up a steel chair to lay a further beatdown on Dolph, but was stopped by a former rival in Kalisto, who came to Ziggler’s rescue.

How did Dolph repay the kindness? With a superkick right to the face!

Ziggles screamed at Kalisto on the ground about how he never needed anyone’s help, and took the aggression backstage in a later segment featuring a vicious headbutt to the luchador’s friend, Apollo Crews.

The heel turn for Ziggler has been long-awaited, with many fans feeling it’s exactly what the Show Off needs after his underdog persona has continually failed to win the big one.
