It was announced on Monday that Kurt Angle will headline this year’s WWE Hall of Fame ceremony in Orlando, Florida. But, as of right now, we don’t know who will induct him on April 1.

There are a few people who could induct Angle — Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas wouldn’t be bad choices, neither would Brock Lesnar or John Cena, who, aside from the deceased Chris Benoit, were his best opponents in WWE. But, during an interview with Sports Illustrated, Angle revealed who his pick is, naming fellow WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin as the guy who he wants to induct him.

“That’s a no-brainer,” said Angle about Austin inducting him. “I had just started with WWE and had a program with Austin right after I beat Rock for the world title. I had a quick skit with Stephanie and Triple H, and then it was right on to Austin. We had some memorable feuds and some very funny segments, so he is at the top of my list.”

Angle being inducted into this year’s Hall of Fame was something that no one saw coming. WWE was in need of a headline-worth act for this year’s ceremony, and Angle certainly fits that description.

Do you think Steve Austin should induct Angle? If not, who would you choose? Let us know in the comments below, or over on Facebook!
