Rusev And Lana Want A Match With Kurt Angle

When Rusev and Lana debuted on the main roster nearly three years ago, everybody kept naming one guy as the Bulgarian Brute’s dream opponent: Kurt Angle. At the time, our Olympic Hero was down in TNA, so the dream match couldn’t happen. But now, Angle is set to headline this year’s Hall of Fame, so a Rusev vs. Angle match is possible.

Following the Angle Hall of Fame announcement, Rusev and his wife Lana both took to Twitter to call out the 1996 Olympic gold medalist.

While speaking with ESPN on Monday, Angle said that his primary focus is the Hall of Fame, and that he hasn’t even thought about coming back for one more match.

On the post-Raw edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that WWE will allow Angle to wrestle if he can pass a physical exam. But, if he can’t, we probably won’t see Angle have another match under the WWE banner.

Aside from Rusev, there are several dream opponents for Angle in WWE like Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens, and Dean Ambrose. There are also a couple of guys like Samoa Joe and AJ Styles that he has faced before during his time in TNA, but WWE fans would likely love to see them square off yet again.
