Just under 24 hours of being challenged to a match at Extreme Rules by Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman, WWE reports that Triple H was late to Monday’s Raw broadcast because he was receiving an MRI. “The Game” injured his wrist during his last battle with Lesnar at WrestleMania 29, and had the MRI done to rule out the possibility of a scaphoid fracture. WWE tweeted this Tuesday…

WWE.com is reporting that a scaphoid fracture would have sidelined Triple H for at least two months, but the injury is in fact just a carpal sprain and contusion. WWE physician, Dr. Michael Sampson, stated, “He’ll be able to train with a splint on, but he’ll be cutting it close coming into Extreme Rules, as far as being ready [to compete].”

If “The Game” does accept Lesnar and Heyman’s challenge to a steel cage match, how will the injury affect his performance? Keep checking back with Wrestling Rumors for more updates on both Triple H and the status of this match for Extreme Rules as more information becomes available.
